Description
I acquired this rocking chair from my grandmother when she passed away. I have tried to research myself but I am very confused as the only other ones I see of the same style are noted as child rockers which this seems to big to be a childs rocker. It is a Nichols & Stone rocker and in very good shape. I have provided a picture of the chair and picture of the bottom of the chair. If your not a KU fan I apologize upfront. :)
The measurements are:
floor to seat: 14.5 inches
Seat to top of back of chair: 29 1/4 inches
Floor to top of back of chair: 44 inches
I would love to determine if this is truly a childs chair or an adult chair and what the value might be as I almost sold it for $40.00.
Re: Nichols & Stone Rocker
This piece is a modern reproduction of a 19th Century Windsor rocker, these rockers tended to have lower seat heights than more modern designs. This company is still in production, first operating under the Nichols & Stone since about 1907. No big value though, under $100.00.
