During my research of the artist I came across a man named Mac Johnson. He claims to be friends with the artist, Paul Paree. Although they haven't spoken for some time. Paul Paree, I hear, is rather reclusive. Paul Paree is a noted photographer, has designed book covers and even had a hand in the music business. Mac informs me that Paul sang and even has a record out somewhere. I have also found that he assisted in writing lyrics for many songs back in the day. Below is an excerpt from an email that Mac Johnson sent me:
I do think those are Paul's. I think your village scene is actually a scene looking up the NW side of the Montmartre in Paris. I know for a fact that he did go to Paris, and I think Stuart Iverson was there at the same time, as were the folks from whom I got all of Paul's and Stuart's stuff! You can see a "Moulin", or windmill top of an old grain mill, and the main dome of the Sacre Coeur, which sits at the very top of that hill on the north side of Paris. The other piece is typical of several avant-garde pieces he was experimenting with way back in the 60's. For what it's worth, you can quote me on that if you like.
