Oak Desk by Rockford Furniture Co.

By rpcinjax, 9 February, 2014
Description

First off, thanks for taking the time to look over my desk.

Oak Secretary Desk - with the manufacturer label is hard to discern but I could make out that it was clearly from "Rockford _____ Furniture Co."  of Rockford, Illinois. The Second word in the manufacturer's me I could not make out however....but I can see several portions of the lettering (included above...)

The previous owner had the desk for over 30 years and could only tell me that it was a secretary's desk that was an antique when he purchased it in New York.

I have noticed that is is very low and as a 5'9" individual I cannot sit comfortably behind it even with a chair at its lowest setting....

Any help you can provide to shed light on this unique item will bring more pleasure to knowing what we have and being able to pass that along...

Very Respectfully,

RonC
