This is a large office desk that is SOLID oak-(I was told it is oak). It has 3 drawers down the right side. It has a drawer in the center with a built in pencil/paperclip tray(also wood). the left side is 3 fake drawers with handles. When you open it the cabinet is actually a type-writer shelf with working springs(huge springs) and hinges that raise the shelf and lock into place on the door of the cabinet. It also has a flat shelf that slides out above the drawers on the right. The drawers also have notches to slide thin pieces of wood in to separate the paperwork. Inside the middle drawer is a circular brand that says "Member Wood Office Institute. The desk is in great shape over all. It is fully functional, it just needs to be refinished to make it look new again.

Re: Office Desk
I have this same desk, in the center drawer it also says 'central desk chicago' unsure what order the words should be in, an oval logo. I'd love to know it's value or history, anything about it.
