Description I have an oil painting. I don't think it is by anybody famous but i do think it is a real oil painting. It is signed Roberts in the lower right hand corner. It is a gorgeous painting. I included a picture of the side of the stretcher board where you can see that the paint on the canvas is uneven which I read was a sign of an original painting..I just love this picture and was wondering if anyone could tell me atleast who the artist is so I can find out more about other paintings he might have. I also included a pic of the back of the painting because you will notice a spot on it that is actually two bumps in the back of the canvas from the tree barks on the painting which i thought was weird. If you touch the two tree barks on the actual painting they are popped out. Its hard to explain here...Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Based on your images your painting is of a type sold at "Art on the fence" or Starving Artists " sales. Such paintings are purchased by wholesalers from artists that specialize in multiple paintings of the same themes, some times with slight alterations inhe subjec matter Eg. "Homestead in Winter", "omestead in Spring" etc. values for them are rather modest as they are generally considered as "Decorator Art", around $150.00- $250.00.

Lovejoy
