Old Antique Remington Dagger (Knife?)

Description

the dagger (knife?) is about 14 inches long, including the handle. the blade itself is 8 inches long. the handle is made of what looks like brass, and also has bone or ivory. at the top of the handle is the head of a knight. on the blade it is stamped REMINGTON ARMS Co. ILION, N.Y.
