Description

Not sure who the artist is. This is a old English scene it appears to be the date shows 1879 and signed by C.S. not really sure who this is based on the painting. This painting looks to be a master. The stagecoach has the name winchester on the side of it. It has a scene of many old English buildings and a stagecoach scene with horses and people on the stagecoach and also people standing around in the street and people in buildings and hanging out the window.

C.S. is painted in copper like color at bottom left to middle corner.

51 1/2in diagonal 25in tall and 45 1/2in long for the picture canvas. Frame and all is 57in diagonal 29in tall and 49 1/2in long.

History
Grandfather bought it in 1954 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina from a Mrs. Greene in Old Salem. She told my Grandfather she got it from Canada but was originally said it's from England.
