Description

Hi, I hope you can give me an advice.

I saw these glasses on the attic and I decided to check them out. I was intrigued and little surprised that they had about 4-5 words on them, and 2-3 numbers. I never saw details like that.

Pictures are in the attachment, and here is the info : It says :

R P    Safilo   Cleopatra on the right side, and    130   52/18    and something very very tiny... I coudnt say for sure, but then i turned on some extra light and took my magnifying glass, and it saiz FRAME-ITALY

Please shed some light on this, I would really appreciate it. Are they collectible, do people sell this? Could it be silver? Thank you.

Safilo is the world's second largest eyewear company and they are still in business. They sell perscription frames so that is probably what the numbers are on your frames. Someone's script. They may be hard to sell but not impossible. I would stop by a optometrist's office and ask them are they perscription frames and then go from there.

1 more question... frame is really really nice and beautiful close up, im sorry i dont have better camera to capture it.

so im wondering... why would glass be that big of a factor for the entire value? i mean, they can be replaced... i sort of thought frame is like 80% of the appeal. take a look at this better picture here
