Original oil portraits from mid1800's, England. Husband and wife, BRADLEY, from Nottingham England. James Bradley born 1823, wife Elizabeth (Kirk) Bradley born 1825. James Bradley was a master gardener, grew peas, strawberries, cucumbers, and more in his market garden, and sold to  the wealthy.

Originally were in huge mahogany frames, frames were left behind in England early 1900's, when these portraits were removed and shipped to Canada with the family. Are in original gilded mats without the frames. Frames were possibly sold at estate auction in 1910.

Painter is unknown.

Located in Canada. The jewellry worn by Elizabeth is still in the family possession.
