Description

I've called it a "Pacific" Kris because when I posted this online elsewhere I got six opinions claiming it was Philippe, Javan, Indian, Malaysia or Thai.  No one could agree on which country it came for hence me looking for more information.

I acquired this Kris from my grandmother on her death as it had been my grandfathers until his death.  He served in the Navy during WWII and served in Japan post surrender as some sort of troubleshooter for the Navy.  During one of his frequent trips he acquired this Kris and used it as a paperweight in his Navy office.  Fast forward forty years he passes on and my grandmother keeps it on her coffee table until her death a year ago.  I've had it in a closet and I've been wondering exactly what it is and what sort of history it has besides what little I know.
