I acquired this about 30 years ago, and recently did a search on the internet for a Jim Taylor and found a posting on Veterans Ads from his grandson -
James Taylor
Of the Ox & Bucks. He's in a picture posted by Jim Wallwork, but wasn't on the 180 strong list that Denis Edwards provided. He's in the 3rd row, right at the centre http://www.britisharmedforces.org/graphix/wallwork/dco_ox_r600.gif. His Service number was 5671910 and all of the information that he mentioned when he was alive, matched up with being at Pegasus. Mom always said that he was a sapper, but that list just does not match it. Any information would be so greatly appreciated. Grandad would never talk about the war until one day on the 50th anniversary, he saw Prince Charles at Pegasus Bridge, and started telling us about it. That was some time ago, and I was young not realiszing the importance of what he was saying. Chris Johnson (James Taylor's Grandson), [email protected]
The Ox & Bucks were in Malay in 1946 so I sent Chris an email with pics to find out if this was his Grandpa.
