Its a canvas oil painting . Its an original, and sighned by the artist H. Hargrove. It was purchased in Illinois by my sister at a art showing. It was a gift to my deceased mother. To introduce her to the culture of contemporary american artist. I inherited it after her death and dont know very much about the artist and his work and would like to know its value if any, or perhaps sell the painting do to financial hardship.
The painting depicts country living. It shows a country kitchen with an open window and an apple pie cooling in the window as a breeze blows in the sheer curtains flutter across the cooling pie in the window seal. There is a table right next to the window and the cooling pie. On the surface of the table isa dish full of red apples and a white towel laying on the right side of the table and itspartially draped down the front of the table. In front of table is a high back wooden chair with a draped table cloth. That sits on a rug atop a wooden floor. And under the table sits a blue wash tub. Behind the chair and to the left of the table is an open door with a partially visible hand railing and stairs.
