Description

Small bowl with face of faun inside. The imprint of Madoura is on the bottom of the bowl. I realize it is one of the hundreds of pieces cast at the Madoura Pottery in Vallauris, France, under the supervision of Pablo Picasso.  He had a long-standing relationship with Madoura since the late 1940s. This bowl has several tiny white spots around the lip where the glaze has chipped off. This is practically unnoticeable and to the viewer, it looks quite natural, but I'm sure that will affect the value. Because of the integrity of the bowl otherwise, I rated it as "excellent" condition.
