Description
Inherited a round wood pedestal table. Four legs and sides of table covered with designs (carvings?). Top appears to be inlaid with some type of material, as small cracks have formed over the years. Top is a deep red color with a gold design. Single drawer built into the front. Have been unable to locate any labels or markings to indicate the manufacturer. Any insight into the origin of the table, as well as an estimated value, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Re: Possible antique round wood table
Your table dates from the second quarter of the 20th Century (1925-1950), the carving actually are made by router carving machines, the examples with this amount of carving tend to be European imports rather than American made. Most examples like this tended to have decal/paper labels with often don't survive or stencilled marks that often just indicate a model and finish type.
