Description
From my grandmother's stories, these were purchased "from the artist himself" in France, years apart in the late 1940's and early 50's. They spent some time in a smokers home and I have no idea on when they were framed. In her 80's, she swore they were authentic and mentioned when buying second work, Utrillo being "older and not so together, look he even signed it with a 5, not a V".
I am curious, are these possibly real Utrillo paintings, was she "not so together" or are these fakes?
I'd appreciate any help/information on these, and thank you in advance.
