Description

I have a RARE ANTIQUE COPPER URN W/ LID and STAND. Some generous person donated this unique piece to an Animal Rescue Resale Thrift Shop and I purchased this vessel there. I haven’t noticed any markings on the bottom or inside. However, it has a lot of patina (which may be covering it). The item has inscriptions intricately etched into the body and the lid. I was told the writings may be Persian. The copper lid appears to have a brass knob. The height w/o the stand is 15.5”. The height including the stand is 18.5”. The width is 13” and the depth is 10”. All measurements are approximate. I have unsuccessfully scoured the internet trying to find a similar item.

Distinguishing marks Aged patina. I was told the etched inscriptions are Persian. The patina could be covering any markings or signatures/dates.
