Red Sofa Stuffed with Horse Hair (or so I'm told)

I'm sorry, I don't know much about this couch. It's been in my uncle's house since I can remember. We were never allowed to sit on it for some reason. I've been told it was stuffed with horse hair. From what I can tell, there are no rips, tears or stains.

This is my first posting, so I'm sorry if I'm not providing the right info. If there is more information needed, please let me know. I have a lot more items to add.

This reminds me of a Danish Banana Sofa: if that helps.

This has been in the formal livingroom of my uncle's house for well over 55 years. I've been told it is stuffed with horse hair. I'm very sorry, but I've never dealt with things like this before so I'm not sure where to look for any markings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
