The Ropousse Bowl weighs 1.5 lbs, stands 3.5 inches tall, width 5.5 inches wide. Ornate design very detailed. I dont know if it is solid silver or plate. I scratched the bottom and there is no under color of a non metal base.

It's silver plated, by international conventions and trade laws silver will be marked to indicate its precious metal content . The markings on this one are not silver hallmarks, it's a company stamp. I have no record for this one, but most pieces like this date from the first quarter of the 20th century. Demand for silverplate is very modest right now, many pieces like this sell at thrift shops for under $10.00.
