Sugar & Creamer on Tray

By michaelmasdaisy, 29 March, 2013
Description

I'm not sure if the tray that is under the creamer and sugar belongs to the set.  It seems heavy to me, as if it might be lead crystal.

What I would like to know is approximately how old it is and if it is, indeed, cut glass.

Thank you.

Category
Glassware and Crystal
Medium
Probably glass
Distinguishing marks
None
Condition
Excellent
Size and dimensions of this item
The circumference of the sugar bowl at its widest is 14 inches. It stands 4 3/4 inches high with the lid on. The circumference of the creamer at its widest 9 1/2 inches. It is 4" tall.
Weight
3/4 of a pound without the tray
History
I got this from my mother who is 89 years old, and I believe it might have belonged originally to my grandmother.

CORRECTION!! I just found out that the sugar and creamer are from Austria, as is the tray. However, my mother got the tray with a different creamer and sugar (which she later broke) in Austria in 1952. The creamer and sugar may be from the 1960s.
