This is what I call a conversation chair, but it is also known as a tete-a-tete. I got the chair from my mother who bought it from a woman about 40 years ago. It is a really interesting chair. I'm not sure of its date, but a local antique dealer said that it was probably from the early 1900s.
As much as I love the chair, I've moved and the new living room is much smaller than my old one. The chair just doesn't fit in the house now - not in a way that shows it off. I would love to find it another home, somewhere it could be appreciated.
The chair is in excellent shape. The upholstery is in very good shape, too. The cushioning in the seats are pretty good. There are some scratches on the legs, but nothing that can't be fixed with a little stain.
