Theo A. Kochs Antique Barber Chair

Description

This chair is leather and metal and in great condition. There are only a couple of scuff marks on the metal and the metal on the foot rests are a little worn. There is no date marked on the chair. It is very ornate.

Without seeing your chair, I loaded my images. When I went back to the home page, I saw the 2 chairs above each other. What a co-incidence.

I love your chair. It will be nice to know whether your's and mine are more or less the same age. Do you have anything of Columbia on your chair?

 Hi, I am busy stripping my late farther's chair to redo the upholstery. It is exactly the same as yours albeit not in such excellent condition. When I removed the leatherette from the backrest I found a date stamp of 1891. I live in South Africa and my dad stood behind that chair for over60 years of his life, hope I can do some justice to it.
