Upright Radio

I found this radio in the dark corner of a thrift store,brought it home and cleaned it up,replaced broken power cord,plugged it in and it fired up!!All tubes seem to be energized and all controls work.I can't seem to be able to pick up a signal.The push buttons have station call letters on them- WEEI WOAN CKAC WCSH WCOL . The main dial also is labled frequency for aviation and police.

Any information would be greatly appreciated
