Description Marble and alabaster bust which we've always called The Venetian Boy, a wedding gift to my paternal grandfather and grandmother (Ruth Alice Halsey –old, old money) in 1921 White-Haven, Pennsylvania. Slight chip on the nose from when my father was roughhousing. Base 8 x 5 x 4.5 cm; height 35 cm; 11.75 kg. Cloak is alabaster; base and the bust itself are marble. Straight hair angled forward; hint of a forelock peeking from the striated head covering. Quatrefoil "buttons" on its sides. Reflective eyes. No identifying marks.
