Description
I found this in a brocante in the south of france , I have not been able to identify the mark , the print is a reproduction of gustave dore's illustration "the hare and the frogs" from the La Fontaine" fables , the gilt is worn on the lid handle , and there is a discolouration on the side , I don't want to scrub it to clean it for fear of damaging the gilt further .I may sell it , it depends .
