Re: Vintage marbles

cracks, scrapes, and chips even small ones really hurt the value of any marble. as much as 30-50% even for small ones sometimes.  prices listed are for mint examples...  1-2-3-4-5- lef to right top row. 1- all new er marbles marble 4 is a little older. but ther all are  5- 10c  row 2  1-2-4-5- all 5-10c the middle marble has an extra red blothch in the middle not normally seen and might be a vitro . vitro marble had a v purposely made oin the the nicer the v and better color the higher the price on these.  2-10$$ marble (bengal tiger red, blk yellow) rare color combo. . row 3  1st marble is really new. 2nd marble has good g  colors and no white or clear . and the orange is a better color and worth a little more also. . its a peliteer 3-5 $ marble  3 -4- 5-10c marbles  mable king is the 5th one but its a really common one. 5-25C  row 4 blue marble is really new but nice  colors 2 rainbow.. but only ok colors 10-25C #3 bumble bee corkscrew  the colors swirl around in a screw pattern and the colors are black and yellow like a bumble bee. 2-3$ marble  4-5 5-10c marbles row 5 #1 newer mable  better colors but really new all 5-10c on this row.    picrutre #2 top left marble i cant see well anough  loos li alot like a green mable with white slag caled slag marble looks chipped or melted. a melt sometimes worth hurt the price like a chip will. 1-3$ #2 a brown comon bennington 2-3$ marble #3 rainbow 10-25c #4 5-10c #5 newer marble but really nice colors.25-50c marble might even bring 1$ . row 2 all newer 5-10c 2 and 3 might bring a little more for the better colors 10-25c  row 3 most look olde here. 1st mable looks like a vitro oxblood 3-10$ marble  #2 new but nice colors 10-25c other 3 5-10c  ## 3 might bring a little more  the blue looks nnice with the brown here. im guessing about 1 inch or 15/16ths   big blue shooter marble 1-2$   next slightly smaller ones red green blue and white  red maybe 50c-1$  green and blue 25c-50c white 25-50c tiny mables other 3 about 5c     . go to barnes and nobles and look and get the large marble books. with big pictures.  you can see the picture better and know what your looking at better.  these are mostly newer machine made marbles the bennington is older.

Re: Vintage marbles

your welcome  the color combos with no white or clear halp also there is a marble with clear and white in them that is a cork screw plus 2 other colors, that is a popeye. they generally go for 25-35$.  as the marble get larger like if yu have one of the better colro combos and its as hooter marble. the price goes way up if it 15/16ths or over and inch with no chips or cracks. these marbles can bring 25-200$.   there is also a slag marble that has one coor i think you hasa green one and then has some white swirled into it. if the swirles white makes a 9 or has they are worth a little more especially if larger ones.  if they have many swirls spin around a few times  these can be early m f christiainson marbles these are worth way  more also.   these are hand gathereed early marble and highly saught after.  it took me about 4-5years of studdying marble to finally understand them well.  if you have other good colored ones picture them and i can tell you about them. one like the spiderman are red and blue. better colors ones tend to have names that let you know the colors. black and yellow bumble bee. etc... but the newer marbles like this from 1980 and newer have only just a little added value they aremuch easier to find in good condition. if a marble has someting really weird going on with it they can be valuable also like a cats eye (bannanna) with a bubble in the middle of the swipe of color is called a fat bannanna.i like to call them pregnant bannannas. thes ecan sell for 5-10$ each and look almost just like regular cats eyes if you dont inspect them well.  you should look forat adventurine in marbles also . it shines like tiny sparkes. they are usually dark green in collor.

Re: Vintage marbles

a cork screw is on an opaqu not transparent( not see through) solid s  color. if the color is not white that helps the value and if the swirl is not white also . you have 2 good colors not white or clear that really helps the value.   if the color is see through its called a snake. because you can kinda see how it looks like a snake you can see the whole thing . all coiled up and ready to strike.
