Vintage Roos Cedar Chest

By IamKat, 5 January, 2019
Description

Ed Roos Company of Forrest Park, IL (not connected with Roos Manufacturing). Cedar chest, fully lined with cedar (in perfect condition), carvings on legs and ornate carving on front. The number 4246 is stamped on the bottom. Used, it has several scratches due to moving and some of the finishing had worn off. The veneer however is intact. There is one lower side molding off but I have the piece. The "Guarantee Certificate" is fully intact on the inside of the cover. All hardware is original.

History
This piece belonged to my Grandmother. Neither my Dad more his brother's wanted it because apparently it had been a gift to her from a boyfriend she had prior to marrying my Grandfather. She married my Grandfather 6-25-34 at the age of 30. So it has to be older than that.
