It's a Victorian piece, circa 1875-85. Most of these were made by smaller furniture factories that were spring up all over the Eastern seabaord after 1840. Demand for Victorian furniture last peaked in the 1990's, since then values and demand for it has declined a great deal, we'd retail a piece like this now for under $750.00.
