Will Rogers Clock

By brenda lawson, 26 January, 2010
Description

It is a large statue of Will Rogers as a cowboy with the clock in the middle as if he were holding it. His face is very detailed as well as the other figures of MR. Rogers. One on the right depicts him as a radio star with the microphone that has large letters C B S. the left side is MR. Rogers as the movie actor, his cap has some inscription on it but I can't make it out very well.

The clock is by United Clock Corporation of Brooklyn NY but had no date on it, it appears to have a picture of three men of the revolutionary war period, two with drums and one playing a flute. it also has an American flag in the background.

The outside is starting to corrode and I am not sure how to clean it or if I should, it has great patina. there is a spot on the inside that someone cleaned that looks like bright silver or aluminum but I'm not sure.
