I have this small what looks like a basket bowl, it is marked W.M.F.M. which I know means the base metal is Brass - Anybody know the age of the Bowl - Got to admit it reminds me of a cauldron - I am guessing it was made for sweets or something similar. Be good to know the value of it in case I decide to sell it. Any information gratefully received

Most of these tend to date from the turn of the 19th Century through 50's. Values for silver plate is currently very weak and comparable pieces often sell for under $25.00 USD.
