Wood Dog Carrier Crate by A. Backus Jr. & Sons, Detroit, Michigan

Description

Dating from early 1900's, it has the original Medallion Tag on front, and on the side it has the name stamped into the wood to identify the maker.

Two handles have the words stamped into the metal: Patent and a number.

Measurements: 34" Tall, 44" Long and 25" wide.

1824 - 1901 A. Backus & sons ere manufacturers of Dog crates and woven boxes in Detroit,

Michigan.

I want to sell this, but not sure of the value. Any help would be much appreciated.

It has a medallion tag on the front, and on the side it has stamped into the wood A. Backus Jr. & Sons, to identify the maker. Both handles have the words stamped into them: Patent and a number. Designed for shipping fine dogs and other valuable animals.
