Description
It is a wood lamp, almost 2.5 feet tall. At the very top of the brass part where the shade would connect to the lamp the word “Chilo” is stated. At the very bottom of the brass below where the lightbulb is placed, it states “Sherbinin, William DE. N., Conn. patent pending” and some other things I can’t make out. I saw online Sherbinin’s patent for the lamp adapter was finalized in 1937, so I’m assuming the lamp is from the 1930s. Of course, I could be way off with that.
Also, there is a backward and upside down “D” marking. I’m not too sure what that means. There is a cool looking eagle on the lamp.
This is a really unique looking lamp that really caught my eye and I’m curious to learn more about it.
