The year was 1931. On a corner lot on Santa Monica Blvd in West LA, our Grandfather, Robert Wertz, founded Wertz Brothers Furniture.

His sons Robert Jr. and Lawrence took over the business until 1969, at which time Robert and Lawrence split. That same year, Lawrence's sons Mike and Larry entered the business, soon operating up to 4 locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

In 1994 Mike and Larry purchased the business from their father. Mike and Larry continue to own and operate their location in West Los Angeles. Their 55,000 sq. ft furniture store, located on the original Santa Monica Blvd site, showcases furnishings from local estates and Europe.

For the last 82 years, the Wertz Family has truly run a family owned and operated business. Now under the guidance of their sons Michael and Ryan, they carry their family tradition into it's 83rd year.
