CHIPPENDALE CHAIRS VALUE

Profile picture for user Mizlinear

Description

CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THESE ARE WORTH?  I have 6 Hickory Chair Company Carolina Chippendale chairs (per the site description). I bought them from an Estate Sale. The order tag on the bottom of the chairs shows that they were purchased at least 60 years ago per the delivery address. The street they deliverd it to was Route 1 which hasn't been used in a VERY long time. They are from their James River 1911 collection. I have 2 arm chairs (model #856-02) (38.75" tall, 23.75" at the widest part of the arms, 23" wide at the widest part of the seat, 17.5 wide at the narrow part of the seat)and 4 side chairs (model #856-01) (38.75" high, 16" wide at the smallest part of the seat, 21.5 at the widest part of the seat) They are in really good condition. There are no rips or tears in any of the seat fabric.  The cushions are not fluffy. One chair looks to have been repaired at the slat at the bottom that connects the chairs at the very bottom near the bottom of the feet.  It is on one side and there is just a bit of glue.  They are sturdy and have very minimal signs of wear and tear. I know that the Hickory Chair Company brand of furniture has been used in the White House since Jaqueline Kennedy remodeled through the current President. I have found Hickory Chair Co other pieces of furniture that have a hefty price tag. Thank you for any help you can offer.
