Without any information regarding the artist, the artist's training, past sales and auction records for this artist (if any), and the artist's regular prices for pieces of this type, size, etc., it is nearly impossible to appraise a newly-created work by an unknown artist. In terms of monetary value (not the best way to measure a work's merit), a piece is only worth what someone (anyone) is willing to pay for it. Not intending to be insulting, but my mom would pay $1 million for one of my kindergarten crayon pieces from 35 years ago (if she could), but I sincerely doubt anyone else would, so the piece would be worth $1 million as long as my mom could and would pay $1 million for it--and nothing if no one else would buy it at any price.
