I couldn’t find this painting online but there is another Lady Peel portrait by this artist. Frame, Sitter and her unique ring look the same!

Re: Lady Peel by Sir Thomas Lawrence
Any suggestions as to cleaning mine? I have had a very similiar one for about 18 years. No glass so it gathers dust. The only differnece is my frame is more oval than this one appears. She is fading somewhat on mine also. Any way to prevent that anymore? On the back of mine written on the brown paper backing is, "Lady Peel"

I never have removed the paper but some of it is very britle now and tears easily. Also mine seems to be painted on a board type material and not canvas. Don't know much about art but when I seen it I just had to have it. There is a mystery sort of speak about the painting I think...just really spoke to me. Had to have it!Thanks, B.
Re: Lady Peel by Sir Thomas Lawrence
Oddly enough after really looking at the one that is posted here, mine has the fading in the exact areas. Makes me love this painting all over again.
Re: Lady Peel by Sir Thomas Lawrence
These are all reproductions, that being said paintings really need to be physically examined by a specialist to determine vintage and authenticity.
Re: Lady Peel by Sir Thomas Lawrence
I have the same reprint in large/square frame in great condition...no fading that I can tell. The frame is old and have not tried to take out the print. Any idea what this would be worth? It was given to me by a great Aunt in her will ...guess she thought I needed it.
Re: Lady Peel by Sir Thomas Lawrence
These "Lady Peels" were made in large numbers for the Decorator market, so values for them are modest. In "as is" condition these often go at auction for less than $50.00 unless in a really good frame.
