Your clock is a German example, but styled after earlier French examples in the Louis XV style. The maker, Gustav Becker, was born in 1819 and trained as a clockmaker in Germany and Austria. He opened his workshops in Freiburg, Silesia, Germany in 1850.
 The style of the numerals indicate it is a late Victorian piece, but with Becker clocks one can more accurately date them from their serial number. Becker clocks with serial numbers below 1,500,000 date before 1900, those with numbers below 500,000 predate 1885.
These clocks usually list with auction presale values in the $500.00- $800.00 range, but we have seen some similar pieces go for over $1500.00 depending on the condition.
