I have a few Le Mieux pieces. The heavily gilded ones with the couples in the middle are from the 40's typically. I would need more info because Le Mieux made several styles... these typically sell for just under or about what you paid. You didn't get taken and you didn't make a fortune most likely.

i have a complete set (-1 cup) 24k gold (eg. gold) (crown & wreath) victorian couple in middle, hand decorated with / 2 matching vases Le Mieux china. What is the estimated value? excellent condition. I agree, it is absolutely stunning.
