No huge value I'm afraid, large numbers of these services have been brought back By American Armed Forces personnel since World War Two and and again during Vietnam. These sets generally look far older than they really are, these services sell routinely for under $100.00 at auction.
Lovejoy
I have a few pieces of S. Thailand silverware or gold. It does not have a wooden handle and has no writing on it, so what is the difference. It had the picture of the woman & S. Thailand but not the Siam writing.
In some cases less than in 2008. It's a buyers market right now, as many are downsizing or trying to raise capital due to the current tough economic conditions. In periods like this values tend to drop for all but the very upper end collectible and antique items.
