I also have Deutsch Bros. Inc furniture

What i was able to gather from the internet was that they were a furniture store in the early to mid 20s and I believe they went filed bankruptcy or went out of bussines around 1926 or 1928 after their warehouse burned down. I too have a Deutsch Bros. Inc Couch and 2 chairs. Haven't been able to find myself what it is worth. Looks to me like they are rare. Good luck on your appraisal!

Re: I also have Deutsch Bros. Inc furniture

I have come across a deutsch sofa and can't find any history on the company either. I thinking os searching out the Great Fire of Chicago and see if I can come up with something there. These do seem rare, I have found some similar on ebay but nothing distinctive with Deutsch Bros. Furniture. I did notice most had been re upolstered, I know mine is original. If I find any info . I will share if you do the same. I have put in for an appraisal but hadn't gotten a response as of yet. I dohave some pics posted if you want to take a look. Thnk you.

Re: deutsche bros. couch

I have worked on a few peices of Deutch Bros over the years--can you email a photo.I know they went out of business back in the 20's but some of the pieces I have worked on seem to be made from the 50's and 60's as foam was used in some pieces and foam wasn't used back in the 20's and they looked like they had the original fabric. I have noticed they do put like the letter S inscribed on some of their frames hidden under the insaide arms on some pieces and I am sure the letter has a meaning.
