HELP PLEASE - China Cabinet with Claw Feet

By purpletang465, 14 April, 2008
Description

I purchased this from my job. It is in excellent condition however it is sitting in a dirty basment right now and needs to be cleaned and oiled. It has claw feet and stained glass in the upper compartment of the cabinet. It has brass key holes and a carving on the bottom that is a T & L combined as one. See picture.

  • I need to know if this is an antique and worth getting appraised.

Re: HELP PLEASE - China Cabinet with Claw Feet

Based on what I can see in the images this appears to be a reproduction of cabinets made at the turn of the 19th Century, but made during the 1980's.

More detailed images of the back of the piece and the hardware would be needed to determine what you really have.

Re: HELP PLEASE - China Cabinet with Claw Feet

Thanks Lovejoy. The back seems to be just a solid wood or veneer thin panel dark like the cabinet and sometype of brass key holes. I will update with more pictures later tonight. Please feel free to revisit and check out the new pictures. So this probably is worth anything? I actually just want to list it on ebay or craigs list as I am trying to downsize with alot of my collectibles. I just want to know what a fair price is to list it. It is solid wood and very pretty...

Re: HELP PLEASE - China Cabinet with Claw Feet

I have that cabinet that my friends love it so much. They want to have that kind of cabinet. They I make it more beautiful when I added a ceiling light inside my cabinet. Try it.

Hi Annonymous. Do you have any idea when or where the cabinet was purchased? I am trying to find some things out about it! Please advise.
