Thierry Ona art

By DoDa, 27 April, 2008
Description

These appear to be enamel paintings or silkscreens of two paintings by Thierry Ona.  Each is signed ONA .  Each is framed and matted.  The back of the frames are sealed with glued, brown paper.  The art itself is approximately 6" x 6" each.  The art is very brilliant in colors and appear very shiny in texture.  This is why I say enamel.  I have not opened the frames.  They are beautiful.  I have looked on the internet for information, but have yet to find any about the artist biography or find any mention regarding the particular kind of art I have.  All I can find is prints for sale.  I understand John Simmons "[email protected] may know about these since he is giving/incharge of the current collection, but I have yet to hear from him.  I believe the names of the two paintings are 'Dancers' and 'Ballerinas I'.  All the best.  Charlie.

Re: Thierry Ona art

It is very. very, likely these are just Decorator prints, but nobody can really give a definitive answer without actually examining them out of the frame.

Re: Thierry Ona art

what are decorator prints?  These are six inches x six inches.  They appear to be on hard board.  The background colors are flat, with the accents and dancers raised significantly, and hard and glossy like enamel.  Can you point me in the direction of who made these?  All the best.  Charlie.
