Re: "American Woman" beer sign

More often than not, these signs are made from posters taken from a beer poster book published by Will Anderson in the 1970s.They were mounted on grape drying racks (that they dried raisins on) and then decoupaged or shellacked to the wood.Sometimes they would burn the edges of the print to add "age" You'll see many Hamms bock,Olympia and similar brands. These signs usually sell in the 20-50 dollar range for the reproductions.

Re: "American Woman" beer sign

I have this exact sign and have always wondered if it was an original or if it had any significant value.
