Capodimonte numbered cherub lamp

By amber hawkins, 21 May, 2008
Description

I GOT THIS LAMP ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO  IN A GARAGE SALE. I HAVE NEVER USED IT AND RECENTLY FOUND THAT IT MAY BE WORTH QUITE A BIT.  IT IS HAND PAINTED.  IT IS ADORNED WITH CHERUBS AND FLOWERS THE LEGS APPEAR TO BE SOME SORT OF BIRD. IF ANYONE HAS MORE INFORMATION ON ITS VALUE OR IF  THEY ARE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING THIS LAMP I WOULD BE GRATEFUL TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Re: Capodimonte numbered cherub lamp

Values vary wildly for Capodimonte pieces depnding on their vintage and quality, but very few are considered "Quite Valuable". At auction most comparable to yours now sell for less than $75.00.  Here's an example for you http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5285097
