I have a whole roomful of Deutsch Bros furniture including end tables, sofas, chairs etc. Its beautiful satin furniture but I have no idea what the value is. I would appreciate any input. This furniture is over 40 years old

I have three pieces of deutsch bros furniture - a sofa and 2 chairs that I am looking to sell. They are in mint condition; however, there is a gold thread showing though on the sofa. I did not want to mess with it since I do not have any experience in furniture repair. I live in New Lenox, Illinois which is about 40 miles south west of Chicago. The sofa and one of the chairs are white and the other chair is gold. All of the pieces are satin (I believe) with intricate wood carvings. Also, if anyone knows an estimated value, I would be interested in knowing as well. I can email pictures if it is helpful.
HELLO,
MY NAME IS LAURA & I LIVE IN MICHIGAN. I RECENTLY JUST PURCHASED AT A GARAGE SALE A SEETTEE LOVESEAT MADE BY THE DUETSCH BROS. WITH THE TAG ON THE LOVESEAT. THE COMPANY WAS FOUNDED IN CHICAGO, ILL. I COME ACROSS CHAIRS AND SOFA'S BUT NEVER ANY LOVESEATS? I AM WONDERING IF MINE IS SUPER RARE? I AM GOING TO ATTACH A PHOTO OF MY PIECE AND SEND IT TO YOU. I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT IN 1961 THIS TYPE OF FURNITURE WAS IN THE WHITE HOUSE. THE SAME MATERIAL USED ON THIS LOVESEAT IS THE SAME MATERIAL JACKIE KENNEDY HAD MADE AND THEN DESTROYED SO NO DUPLICATES COULD BE MADE. I AM WONDERING IF MY PIECE WAS FIRST. IT IS NOW IN ROSCOE ILL. IN A PLACE CALLED THE HISTORIC AUTO MUSUEM. SO COOL! I AM JUST WONDERING IF YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MY PIECE AT ALL OR CAN DIRECT ME TO ANYONE WHO KNOWS MORE? BY THE WAY IT SOUNDS IT COULD BE VERY DESIRABLE AND VERY EXPENSIVE!! WELL, PLEASE I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU SOON. THANKS FOR YOU TIME. SORRY I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY FIND. I WAS ADVISED TO GET AHOLD OF HIGH END AUCTION HOUSES. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS DATED IN 1890'S-1900'S. IF YOU COULD HELP ME I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME,
LAURA K.
Deutsche Brothers Furniture - Kennedy Era 1961 - These two elegant pieces of furniture were commisioned by Jaqueline Kennedy in 1961. After completion she ordered all the molds and fabric destroyed so that no duplicates could be made. Used in the East Room.
I JUST WANTED YOU TO SEE THIS PAGE. THE MATERIAL LOOKS LIKE THE MATERIAL USED ON MY LOVESEAT. ALSO MY LOVESEAT HAS METAL SPRINGS ON THE BOTTOM OF IT. IT IS MADE UP OF HORSE HAIR AND HOG HAIR. I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT TO YOU.
JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SEND THIS.
Thanks so much for post I have a huge couch and 2 beautiful chairs with a coffeee table that matches not sure if made by them but guessing yes. the furniture is all made by the company and have incredible wood work boarding it and separaTING COUCH custons in back.
My name is Gina. I reside in California. Your posting was very helpful to me in finding about information about an armchair with carved faces that I recently purchased at a flea market. I noticed in one of the postings someone mentioned Deutsch Bros and their location. It happens to be the same address that Deutsch-Eck Corp. was located - 2544 W. North Ave. Chicago, ILL 60647. Two order tickets that were attached to my armchair have the Deutsch-Eck Corp. address pre-printed on them. I also think it's interesting that your fabric is the same if not similar to the one Jaqueline Kennedy ordered then had destroyed to avoid duplication. When I clicked on the historical link to see the fabric, I could not help but notice the armchair in the photo of the music room to the left. It is similar to the armchair that I purchased at a flea market. Some of the carvings on the arm of the chair are a little different. I wish there was a photo of the area on the chair on which you sit and rest your back, because after looking at the carving of the back from the side of the chair, makes me want to bet that the area in which your back rests has carved faces like the chair I have. The carved birds on the top of the loveseat/settee in the photo of the music room are very similar to the carved birds that adorn the top of my chair. I bet the carved birds adorn the top of the armchair in the photo as well. If only I could see the chair in its entiriety. Perhaps the molds and fabric weren't destroyed after all?
hi gina can you send me a picture of your chair and i will send you back my furniture which includes a very large couch and two side chairs and a table with carved swans on legs just like the table you see in jackies furniture but it doesnt look like anyone knows they are from same maker.
I was thinking same thing that they did not destroy the molds or fabic because mine is same.
I too have Furniture left to me by my Parents that just passed away they all have the logo of Deutsch Bros in all the Furniture I am planning on selling them but really dont have a price for them if you could help me out it would be greatfully appriciated..
Thank you,
Linda
P.S. I will be sending you pictures to your email.
I am looking for a green satin couch with 6 legs. My grandparents had a couch like this and I loved it very much. I am going to move into their old house and would love to have a couch like this again. I don't know how much they are worth, but I am not interested in the couch for money purposes- just for nostalgia. I am not sure what happened to theirs. Let me know if you know where to purchase one or if you would like to sell yours.

I just purchased a deutsch brothers couch and chair. They are in excellent condition. I would like to have them reupholstered. I am just curious to know what kind of material they used for the covering. It looks like some type of embroidered Satin brocade which is obviously of much better quality than what they are making today. If you know where I can purchase some quality fabric, please let me know. I too am in Chicago.
I aquired a couch and matching chair from a company called Deutsche Brothers. I understand they are out of business and that they are very rare. I have not been able to find any information on the value. Do you happen to know what they might be worth? They have been covered in plasic and are in excellent condition. My e-mail is [email protected]
