Paco Gorospe (1939-2003) known as "The Picasso of the Philippines". His paintings have been sold at Christie's in London. Some of his paintings are for sale for $1200.00 and up.

Re: paco gorospe oil painting

You may not believe this; but I sold the paintings of Paco in my gallery in the Philippines (Zeny's Art Gallery on Friendship Highway, Angeles City Philippines).  I do not specifically remember this painting

.  I have probably one of his best pictures hanging in my house.   This is 100 percent his work;  They sell now from anywhere from a few hundred dollars to a couple thousand.  Keep it and someday it will be very very valuable.  He died back around 2002.  I tried to find his wife while in the philippines last year, but was unable to find information.

Re: paco gorospe oil painting

I had three Paco Gorospes and sold them "wholesale" to a German man and his wife who have a gallery there.  I like most of his work very much.

Re: paco gorospe oil painting

A few years back, I found two original Gorospe's in the alley in the back of my house.  They had been torn out of their original frames and each has some damage to the painting itself.  I'd like to get these paintings to someone who is interested in restoring them and enjoying them - they are just sitting in my basement.

Does anyone have any advice?
