it has a description on the bottom that says"the city of New Orleans, and the Mississippi river lake pontchartrain in distance, it was for the worlds industrial and cotton centinnial exposition
Based on the size you list this print "25 x 38 1/2" It has to be a reproduction. Currier & Ives made prints in three sizes, but this one is too large to be even one of their large folio prints. Currier & Ives prints have been produced in huge numbers since the 1930's, but most use the same process as Newspapers and magazines to produce them. Look at your print under a magnifying glass, on most reproductions the image will appear as a series of small dots.
