These do appear to be chalkware, a type of plaster. most date from the turn of the 19th century through the 1930's. To test for chalkware scratch the underside of the base with a brass key, generally the key will scratch chalkware, pottery or porcelain will not generally be marked with a key. Values for these pieces are modest, generally less than $50.00 at auction.
