Values for clawfoot tubs depend a great deal on the condition of the enamel, and the location of the sale. They were a hot item up until the late 1990's, but the market for them have cooled off since then. At auction they now sell in the $100.00- $150.00 range.

Lovejoy

I have a tub I am trying to set up and the feet won't stay on so I am trying to determine if I have the right feet. The tub was taken from a house and was in use when removed.

The markings on the tub are:

Kohler usa

64.5.7.8

11.2.25

Three of the feet are marked with 51 over 5 and 1 is marked with 51 over 7.

Can you help me identify if these are the correct feet.

Thanks.

Hello, I have been refinishing claw foot tubs for over 10 years now. The markings on your feet are usually the size of the foot (how tall they are). The other markings on the bottom of the tub are typically the size of the tub (in length) and the manufacturer. Your tub is a standard size, the most common size. The feet are typically referred to as eagle talon feet, they are also the most common. If you can send me a photo of your feet where they attach on the bottom I would be able to tell you if they are the originals for your tub. The problem is that people always assume you can just buy some feet on Ebay and they will fit their tub. That is not the case. They all differ in curvature and how they connect on the bottom. You can check out my link here for more info and contact me if you want me to take a closer look at photos to help you out. http://denver.craigslist.org/hsh/1694928815.html
