losol ware casserole

Description

i don't know much about this dish, except it was marked "blue antique casserole" by my mother before she died.
It is a circular dish with a lid approx. 11.5 x 10.5
The lip of the lid, as well as the top lip of the dish has a dark blue/light blue pattern. The handles on the top and side of the dish are lined with gold, as well as around all lips of lid and dish.

The bottom of the dish has a small blue flower, as well as a number- possibly 16? or 91....
The label reads LOSOL WARE- CAMEO- (a crown insignia)- KEELING & Co. Ltd.- BURSLEM(?) ENGLAND

Keeling and Co. made Losol Ware from 1912 until 1936. Cameo (Or more likely Cameo-Gold) is the name of the pattern and Burslem is the town in Staffordshire where it was made. Keeling and Co. closed business in 1936. You can see a couple of sample photos at Replacements, Inc. but I see they are not offering any for sale today.

Old flow blue (the name for pottery and porcelain with a blue glaze deliberating flowing into the clay to create varied shades) is prized by collectors.
