Duck statue

By Trinity Hart, 31 December, 2008
Description

I wish to query the origin and or value of a duck figuring that I have in my possession.Given to me by my father who died aged 77 in 2002, this was gift to him as a child. He once told me this was an original Disney or pre Disney Duck but It has no markings on it whatsoever.I have attached some photographs. I have no idea who would give me an honest or knowledgable appraisal here in Australia RS was my best bet as I've watched it for some years. He appears to be made of copper and brass and had an awful lot of tarnish that I scrubbed off him...still no stamp, or imprint. This duck I forgot to mention came from Germany where my father was boirn. I believe this was bought in Berlin.

Re: Duck statue

Germany made many toys in the early 1900's. This may have been part of a set. Looks like Disneys first Donald Duck a bit. No idea of value.
